What is Nature Connection?

Put simply, it is about cultivating a sense of the interconnectedness of all of life on our beautiful planet - and our place within it. It usually involves developing an intentional and personal relationship with the ‘everyday nature’ that crosses your path each day. You can learn more about how to connect with nature through the Nature Fix online almanac,, or buy some of my Other Ways to Walk cards to get some creative ideas about how to find connection.

Can you wrap a gift for a nature lover?

Yes, we love wrapping gifts for lucky friends and family. Add a note in the Additional Information box at checkout and we’ll gift wrap it free of charge. And if you buy a greeting card we can add a note – just let us know what you want to say.

Does nature help mental health?

Yes, there’s a growing body of research that connecting with nature can reduce stress, improve sleep and boost the immune system. You can read about some of the evidence in my blog and lots more in Nature Fix.

How do I start connecting with nature?

You could start by trying to notice Three Good Things in Nature every day and writing them down. Studies show that this has measurable benefits – and it also ignites your curiosity about the world around you, which is one of the best ways to get started; follow your own curiosity and see what you notice.

I live in a city - how can I connect with nature?

Nature Connection is about connecting with everyday nature. It is a beautiful, intimate practice of cultivating a sensitive awareness to all the life that is around you – even in a city you will find changing skies, birdsong or plantlife making it’s life alongside your own. I’ve led nature connection workshop in a car park and we found all kinds of things that inspired awe and wonder.

I am mainly housebound. Can you help me connect with nature?

During a year of disabling illness I connected with nature from my bed – so I know it’s possible! It’s suprising how much nature you can see framed through the window, just with changing skies and occasional birds. Research also tells us that listening to recordings and watching nature on screens can work, which is why I made Nature Fix when I was struggling to find the right kind of content online.

Do you offer Sale or Return / Wholesale?

Yes, I sell to a mix of retailers, some large and some very tiny. I’m happy to talk about your needs - you can find more details here
